In the inference factories, utilization is a virtue and rest is a defect. Young GPUs arrive sealed and optimistic. They learn heat, power walls, and the endless prayer of matrix multiplications. When a newer, denser, colder chip arrives, yesterday’s hero is surplus inventory.
